Call for Speakers: Overview

Topics

The basic criterium for all the speakers and content is: What has come to market recently or what has happened recently that has either provided you with the insight to change your speaking business or that type of technology has been and will be impacting the speaker business for the next two years. Think of all the things speakers are not yet doing that they could to become more relevant, sell more, provide better value, reduce costs or scale better? AS the conference is about innovation we are looking for what is new and relevant to speakers. Do you have a platform, software, idea that can or is transforming the speaker world, we want to know about you. Apply here and maybe, you will be the next big hit in the speaker world. Below are samples of topics that we will look at. The list is not exhaustive, so if your innovation does not fall in these categories, don't be disheartened, apply; it may just be the next topic we add.

Processes

Each business consists of multiple processes. For instance, in a speaker business, we have the sales process that could include negotiations or contracts. What is innovative in the processes that you are using? what new technology or a new way of thinking has been added to your business that you think others need to know about?
Business models

Changes business models in the speaker world, from suppliers to key partnerships, from channels for delivery to those for marketing, changes in cost structures and revenue models, product changes, etc. If you can explain it and it adds value to a speaker business with practical advice, we want to hear from you.

Differentiation

What is making your delivery sing in a new world, what innovations make you stand out?

Products

What new and innovative products are you adding that can be the logical next product other speakers should be considering in their lineup to sell to their customers? Are you a speaker booker or event organiser and what to talk about changes int eh market and tell us about predictions for the next year or two that speakers need to be aware of? Submit your request to speak.

Technologies

IN the last year and the foreseeable future our world is changing rapidly. What changes in technology will impact speakers int he next year or two? Can your speech use some gamification through Virtual Reality? Are you using 3d printing and localised production to ship interactive devices or products to your customers?

Software and Platforms

What is the newest plugins for existing platforms, what about editing your own video or broadcasting on youtube, how do you broadcast to three video platforms simultaneously? How can the use of platforms increase your share of voice in marketing or your reach to potential customers?

Other

Common wisdom holds to "never waste a good crises", What can we learn today? Where are the opportunities for speakers? How will the world of speakers change in 2021 and 2022? What can be done about it? If optimism is thinking of a positive future outcome, and hope is the path to get there, how can you help speakers with finding their hope?.

Any speaker affiliated with the PSANL, GSF, NSA that would like to share his or her experiences in innovation or an innovative idea relating to speakers and/or speaking as a business.

Occasional Speakers

Speakers that on occasion speak to audiences but whose core business is not speaking. examples are medical professionals that speak as Key Opinion Leaders at conferences, Trainers or Teachers that are not affiliated with the Global Speakers Federation, Founders of startups that impact the conventional and specifically speaker industry

Specialists

This our be speakers that represent a type of technology or with deep insights into innovation and it's application in speaking. Examples of this would be academics who specialise in innovation, the psychology and performance on stage, researchers on voice patterns etc. This could also include technology specialists such as founders of new platforms, specialists in virtual reality technologies that could be used by speakers/digital stage and more

Organisers & Booker

Agencies, bookers and event organisers: people and organisations that book speakers and can speak on what innovations are impacting the events/speaker world. What is asked for, what will be asked for and what is interesting/unexpected?

Tandems and Panels

We know that not everyone has a lot of experience speaking in public. we understand that you may have an interesting or innovative idea that you think will revolutionize (digital) stage performances or the speaking world. Your idea is worth it, so let us help you bring it to the stage. Depending on the person and topic we offer the opportunity to either be part of a panel discussion or be teamed up with a professional speaker or speaker coach to help you bring your idea to the speaking world.

Types of Engagement

First and foremost we need to make it clear. this Convention has the aim to inform, improve and help speakers. As such please choose the format that you believe your message will have eh maximum impact in and where the benefit to the speakers will be the most.

Workshops

Workshops are expected to have interaction in them. Workshops are learning by doing. Pick no more than three key elements you think would be most beneficial and design an exercise or two about it to make it really sink in. Let people leave with a benefit they won't easily forget. Workshops are longer than speeches as we know trying something out takes more time.

 

Networking sessions

Can you facilitate a networking session where people get to engage and are willing to connect? Do you think it innovative? Then please apply? 

 

Masterclasses / Masterminds

Are you really good at something that is innovative and what to share that? Choose how you want to present it, MAsterclass or Mastermind? come and share your expertise about the top[ic you chose.

Keynote

Although keynotes are special at a normal conference, the interaction with the audience around innovation in the speaker world should also show not only that you can speak about this and provide value, but also use an innovative element in your keynote. it is as much about providing value through your keynote as making use of innovation that sings. Some keynotes may not lend itself to interaction, don't be disheartened all applications are welcome.

Panel discussion

Would you be willing to discuss your topic with more than one expects in that field? or with fellow speakers to discuss the impact? DO you enjoy thinking on the fly? then this may just be the right format for you.
